We aspire to provide a child-centered learning and developmental programme. We take pride in saying that our curriculum is designed to teach both educational and social skills needed for a smooth transition to the next step of your child’s learning journey. A strong Transition to Primary School Programme is formulated by our teaching team, which ensures that your child is well prepared and attains a positive attitude towards attending primary school.
Children learn through investigations and project approach based on their current interest. And as teachers we thrive to provide this through our child-centered philosophy which is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and is based on principles and goals of Te Whariki, our national curriculum. We value and warmly encourage your participation as your input is vital to both your child’s learning, and the centre’s success. We have a partnership approach to learning, where information is shared by educators and parents to form a holistic view of the child’s knowledge, skills and understandings.
We take pride in saying that our preschoolers are taught both educational and social skills needed for a smooth transition to the next step of their learning journey. They are well prepared to attend primary school. Parents and Whanau are supported in this new learning journey too, by proving them with a great amount of information and ongoing discussions about their child’s progress.
Our centre’s philosophy strongly reflects Te Whaariki, the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, whilst also gaining inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach.
We endeavour to provide an atmosphere that is warm, accepting and welcoming to both children and their families
